Gown Hire Booking
PLEASE, CLICK ON THE IMAGE OF THE APPROPRIATE GOWN FOR YOUR DEGREE AND ORDER THE SIZE AS TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL HEIGHT.
HOODS ARE INCLUSIVE WITH THE HIRE AND WE WILL ORGANISE THE HOOD ACCORDINGLY TO YOUR DEGREE.
CONFIRM THE GRADUATION DATE AND YOUR NAME WITHIN THE BUYERS INSTRUCTIONS SECTION OF THE PAY-PAL ORDER FORM.
Gowns are not delivered to your address, you will collect them from Corpus on the morning of your graduation day where we will be to assist you if required.
A small selection of Mortar Boards, bow and lace ties are available for loan.
BA, UGM & Masters Graduations:
You will arrive at the ceremony wearing the gown alone of the degree you are collecting on that day. You will take your seat in The Sheldonian Theatre for the ceremony, at a designated point you will leave The Sheldonian and walk to The Divinity Schools behind and I will dress you in the appropriate hood for your degree as I have already aware of which hood you required. You then queue to re-enter The Sheldonian Theatre to formally graduate.
D’Phil Graduations:
Are just slightly different from the above, in so much as you arrive at The Sheldonian
Theatre in the ‘Gown of your current status’at Oxford alone. Unfortunately Oxford does not recognise gowns from other universities, so you can only wear a master’s gown if you gained it at Oxford University.
The alternative is to wear your Graduate Sub Fusc Gown the sleeveless gown you have been wearing to dinners and formal events during your time at Oxford.
So you will arrive at the ceremony wearing a Masters or Graduate gown, as explained above. You will take your seat in The Sheldonian Theatre for the ceremony in a Masters or Graduate gown, then at a designated point you will leave The Sheldonian and walk to The Divinity Schools to the rear and I will dress you in the D-Phil gown for you to graduate. You then queue to re-enter The Sheldonian Theatre to formally graduate.
If you are not dressed correctly the University can be refused entry
